The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

Denver right-hander John Gannon helped his team edge San Diego by the score of 3-2. Gannon kept the opposing lineup in check. Gannon, who is tied for 3rd in the NBL in innings pitched with 71.2, went the distance for Denver. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits.

Guillaume Moret was the walk-off hero for Denver. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Burros right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
