Drillers Get 7-6 Win Versus Chicago
Houston and Chicago duked it out and the Drillers came out victorious.

The Houston Drillers defeated the Chicago Hawks by the score of 7-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Jackie Frost. Frost went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Drillers on the day. Tom McAteer went 6 innings for Houston to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs. He scattered 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. His record improves to 5-3.

Houston used the timely hitting of Wade Fields to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Drillers on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Frost told the Houston Today.

Today's win puts Houston at 19-21, while Chicago falls to 17-23.
