Explorers Lose at Home, 6-1
|
The Milwaukee Dairymen got a good effort from starter Arnie Keilman in defeating the St. Louis Explorers at Corps of Discovery Stadium. The final score was 6-1. Keilman picked up the win for Milwaukee, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. With the win, Milwaukee has a record of 18-23. St. Louis falls to 23-19.
Milwaukee used the hitting of Larry Morford to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Dairymen on top, 4-0. For the game, Morford had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
