Cleveland left fielder Bill Harper had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Harper was 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, even as Washington beat the Bobcats, 9-5. Picking up the win was Mike Cooper. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 4. With the win over Cleveland, the Eagles improved to 18-23.

With one out in the top of the fourth, Don Horton put Washington in front, 4-2, with a 2-run single. The Eagles went on to win the ballgame.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Horton said. "We did a good job of that today."
