Wranglers Win, 4-2, at San Francisco
|
The Dallas Wranglers rode a solid performance from 32-year-old starting pitcher Barry Gilmore to a win, beating the San Francisco Seagulls, 4-2, at Mission Field. Picking up the save was Frank Dunn, his 10th. The Dallas win streak is now 3 games.
With Dallas leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Gilmore hit a run-scoring single off San Francisco hurler Ramon Juarez. It was the 5th hit of the season for Gilmore and put his team ahead, 3-1.
"Barry is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
