Wranglers Claw Out 2-1 Win
|
The Dallas Wranglers did just enough to sneak past the Twin Cities Northmen, 2-1, at Bluff Park. Dallas pitcher Rob Banas, in particular, had a standout performance. The win for the Wranglers lifted their record to 24-20.
The Wranglers got a big at-bat from shortstop Mike Weatherby. For the game, Weatherby was 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Dallas a 2-0 lead.
"Rob's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
