Kermit McDaniel made an impact in the 12-4 Los Angeles win over San Diego. McDaniel, who finished 3rd in the NBL in stolen bases with 42 in 1969, was 2-3 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. San Diego falls to 1-4.

Paul Popeck had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the first for Los Angeles. With the bases loaded and the Blockbusters leading 2-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
