Explorers Victorious at Los Angeles, 5-2

St. Louis and Los Angeles duked it out and the Explorers came out victorious.
St. Louis turned a good performance from starting pitcher Bob Trout into a 5-2 triumph over the Los Angeles Blockbusters at Blockbuster Stadium. Trout picked up the win for St. Louis, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-3.
Shortstop Tom Guinn made an impact for St. Louis, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Jon Hampton in the top of the fifth. For the contest, Guinn went 1-4 with a double.
Said losing manager John Trausch: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
With the win, the Explorers have a record of 23-21.
