5-2 Loss Extends Philadelphia Skid
The Chicago Traders racked up a win at Union Field, bumping off the Philadelphia Quakers, 5-2. Larry Cox, who started for Chicago, pitched effectively for his team. Randy Weisenberg picked up the save for Chicago, his 5th of the year. The losing streak for Philadelphia has now reached 6 games.

With Chicago leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Cox hit a curveball from Pete Jacobs for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Traders ahead, 3-0.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Cox.
