Streaking Knickerbockers Win Another One, 7-5
New York right-hander Dave Torre pitched his team to victory over the Pittsburgh Industrials at Knickerbocker Stadium. The final score was 7-5. The second-place Knickerbockers have won 8 consecutive games.

Charlie Fee had a big grand slam home run for the Knickerbockers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With New York trailing 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Dick Witt and swatted a home run to right. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Knickerbockers ahead, 6-3.

"I had a good game plan," said Torre. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," William Bowen said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
