Montreal Gets 6-1 Win
|
The Chicago Hawks had to reckon with Montreal Habitants hurler Lawrence Connor. Connor, who is tied for 6th in the ABL in holds with 2, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-1 Habitants triumph. Connor, now 1-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Montreal has now won 4 straight.
Montreal used the hitting of Ed Hudson to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Habitants on top, 2-1. For the game, Hudson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Montreal skipper Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
