Baum Rips 2 Homers in 7-4 Win
The Chicago Hawks stopped the San Francisco Seagulls, 7-4, at Mission Field. The Hawks got a big game from Ray Baum, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The 6th-place Hawks bumped their record to 20-24.

Chicago took a 7-3 lead on Baum's 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Jerry White in the top of the sixth, propelled Chicago to the win.

"If it's down the middle," said Baum, "you might as well hit it."
