Emeralds Earn Late 2-1 Win
Seattle turned a good effort from starter Pat Burkholder into a win over the Toronto Hurons at Dominion Field. The final score was 2-1. Phil Moore earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 4-2. Seattle now sports a record of 23-21.

Seattle used a timely hit from Alex Rojas to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Emeralds ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Rojas said in reaction to the win.
