Terriers Flame Out Against Scott, Hurons
The Boston Terriers had no answer for Toronto Hurons pitcher Joe Scott. They failed to score a single run against him, losing, 7-0. Boston managed only 7 hits off Scott, who had 4 strikeouts.

The extraordinarily popular Scott got a standing ovation from the hometown crowd as he left the field, the applause continuing until he returned from the dugout to tip his cap to the crowd.

"Hurons fans are the best fans, in my opinion," he said. "It's a great feeling to throw a shutout under any circumstances, but to do it with the crowd behind you like that is just incredible."

So far this season, Scott has a record of 2-4 with 50 strikeouts and 19 walks in 69.2 innings and a 2.71 ERA.
