Explorers Top Dairymen, 5-1, Behind Trout
Bob Trout, who is tied for 6th in the NBL with a 2.19 ERA, was terrific for the St. Louis Explorers in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Milwaukee Dairymen. His performance earned Trout rave reviews. The 6th-place Dairymen have lost 4 consecutive games.

Trout was the winner. He's now 7-0, after putting the Milwaukee offense in a vise grip. Over 8.2 innings, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while racking up 6 Ks.

"Bob has got a slow heartbeat," said St. Louis manager Ray Fleetwood. "He doesn't panic or anything."
