In a seemingly effortless performance, Damon Rutherford of the Cincinnati Packers shot down the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 11-0, on 4 hits.

"Damon was just locating so well and using his pitches," Cincinnati manager Martin Abresch said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Rutherford recorded 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Brooklyn manager John Meeker said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

This year, Rutherford has compiled a 4-5 record with a 6.83 ERA.
