Industrials Lose to Bobcats, 4-3
|
Cleveland and Pittsburgh took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Cleveland Bobcats racked up a win at Allegheny Field, bumping off the Pittsburgh Industrials, 4-3. Roger Scherf, who started for Cleveland, pitched effectively for his team. Cleveland raised its record to 29-28 with the win.
Jim Farrar had a direct impact on the outcome. Farrar contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Cleveland up, 4-0.
"We found a way to get it done," Farrar said.
