Pittsburgh 7-4 Losers to Knickerbockers
|
The Pittsburgh Industrials got a superb performance from left fielder Dennis Visco, but the New York Knickerbockers still won the game, 7-4. Visco went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Jack Forbes earned the win for New York. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 1-5. The Industrials, now 24-22, have lost 4 straight.
Steve Wright had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for New York. With the bases loaded and the Knickerbockers leading 4-3, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
