Landrum Helps Brooklyn Cruise to 11-3 Win
Brooklyn left fielder Greg Landrum was a significant contributor in his team's 11-3 triumph over the New York Knickerbockers. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for the Bluebirds. Brooklyn pitcher Dave Gaultney earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Danny Abril suffered the loss. Frank D'Amico picked up the save for Brooklyn, his 1st of the year.

Landrum contributed in the top of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Brooklyn get the win.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Bluebirds manager John Meeker. "This one was nice to get."

New York, with the loss, is still a hardy 4-1.
