Blockbusters Take Tight Tangle
The St. Louis Explorers and Los Angeles Blockbusters provided some drama for the home crowd.

Los Angeles turned a fine outing from starter Billy Duprey into a victory over the St. Louis Explorers at Blockbuster Stadium. The final score was 3-2 in 11 innings. The winner was Fred Wild in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Jorge Gonzalez took the loss.

The Blockbusters got a clutch hit from third baseman Duane Kennedy. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blockbusters.

"It was terrific getting this win," Kennedy said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."

Los Angeles has a record of 20-27, placing them 6th in the National Baseball League Western Division.
