Wranglers Win, 4-1, at San Francisco
|
Dallas pitcher Steve Coomes had a large part in his team subduing the San Francisco Seagulls, 4-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The winning pitcher was Coomes, now 4-5. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2. The 4th-place Wranglers now have a win-loss record of 22-24.
Terry McClellan, who is tied for 10th in the ABL with a .901 OPS, had a direct impact on the outcome. McClellan contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Dallas up, 3-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Dallas manager William Albrecht.
