Bluebirds Trip Eagles, 8-5, in Extra Innings
The Brooklyn Bluebirds battled the Washington Eagles into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Bluebirds won it, finally, 8-5, in 11 innings. In the game, Brooklyn catcher Rick Pace went 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Reliever Dick Conway picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0.
