|
Kim Glanden pitched a gem to lead Denver to victory over the Chicago Traders, 4-1. Glanden, the winner, moves to 5-2. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. The win elevated the Burros to 27-18.
Guillaume Moret had a big run-scoring double for the Burros in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Denver leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from Jose Mojica, who finished 4th in the NBL in ERA with 2.38 in 1974, and swatted a double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Burros ahead, 3-1.
In postgame remarks, Moret hailed his team's "grit."
