Pitcher Jose Mojica was sensational for the Chicago Traders in his team's 3-1 triumph over the San Diego Captains. Mojica earned the win. In 8 innings, Mojica surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Chicago is 29-19 and San Diego, with the loss, 34-14.

Chicago right fielder Tim Rathbone contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Traders ahead, 2-1.
