Drillers Jolt Wranglers, 5-4, with Late Rally

The Drillers grabbed a win, 5-4, at Bluff Park, overcoming a fine effort from Dallas pitcher Barry Gilmore. Gilmore went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. Houston reliever Ed Myatt picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Dario Perez was tagged with the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Drillers have raced to a strong start this season.
Mike Tice drew 1 walk. He drove in 2 runs for Houston. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Dario Perez. It was his 1st walk of the season.
Houston manager Tom Harrington commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
