Stanford Goes Distance in 4-1 Win
|
The New York Empires went home winners at Queens Field, thanks in large part to starter Larry Stanford. Stanford stifled the Toronto Hurons, enabling New York to grab the 4-1 win. New York is now 26-19, Toronto 23-24.
Stanford delivered a quality start for New York. The 6-foot-0 left-hander allowed 1 earned run on 6 hits over 9 innings of work.
