Atlanta turned a good effort from starter Renie White into a win over the Toronto Hurons at Dominion Field. The Generals won the game, 4-1. White, who finished 3rd in the ABL in saves with 22 in 1973, went the distance for Atlanta. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. The win puts Atlanta at 16-28.

Roberto Palacios, who finished 3rd in the ABL in home runs with 24 in 1974, had a direct impact on the outcome. Palacios contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Atlanta up, 2-1.

In comments to the Atlanta Observer, White insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
