McDonald Goes Distance in 3-1 Win
|
Boston got a first-rate effort from pitcher Tim McDonald, who frustrated Detroit hitters en route to a 3-1 Terriers triumph at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. With the win, the Terriers have a record of 24-23.
The Wolverines had few good swings against McDonald, the left-hander, who threw 121 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 2 hits.
"I had pretty good command out there," said McDonald.
