Knickerbockers Snatch Late-Game, 1-0 Win
|
Pitching was the name of the game for the New York Knickerbockers and the Pittsburgh Industrials. New York won it, 1-0, in 10 innings. New York starter Chris Hull was in command. The National Baseball League Eastern Division-leading Knickerbockers are 30-17.
The Knickerbockers got a clutch hit from shortstop Dwayne Lamons. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Knickerbockers.
"This place was electric at the end," Lamons said.
