Detroit right fielder Pete Morrison helped his team beat the Boston Terriers, 9-5. Morrison, who finished 3rd in the ABL in wins above replacement with 7.2 in 1968, went 2 for 4 for the Wolverines. The Detroit winning streak has reached 4 games.

Detroit used the timely hitting of Brian Cook to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Wolverines on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Morrison told the Detroit Observer.
