|
Getting an impressive start from Ralph Weintraub, Atlanta beat New York by the score of 4-2. Atlanta raised its record to 28-18 with the win.
Don Martinez had a direct impact on the outcome. Martinez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Atlanta up, 1-0.
"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Weintraub.
