Guilmette Leads Los Angeles to 6-0 Win
|
Wayne Guilmette never let the Bulls get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Blockbusters to a win, 6-0. The Blockbusters bumped their record to 24-23 with this win.
Guilmette made it look effortless. He scattered 4 hits over 8.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Los Angeles right-hander encountered little resistance from the Kansas City hitters. His season record is now 3-3.
"I thought we played a nice game," Guilmette told the Los Angeles Times. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
