Terriers Turn Back Montreal, 5-3
|
The Boston Terriers picked up a win at Atlantic Avenue Grounds, dropping the Montreal Habitants, 5-3. Tim Jepperson was the difference-maker. Nate Edwards, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The loss makes Montreal 24-23.
Boston took a 5-1 lead on Paul Knight's 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Knight hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Bob Schar visibly frustrated.
Knight attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
