Industrials Raise Rally Flag, Beat New York, 6-2
The Pittsburgh Industrials got a good effort from starter Ron Winder in defeating the New York Knickerbockers at Allegheny Field. The final score was 6-2. Bob Cole picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-4. Ray Schifsky, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1966 draft, was tagged with the loss. Pittsburgh, at 27-19, is 2 games up in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

Pittsburgh took a 3-2 lead on Tim Grange's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Grange hit in the bottom of the eighth, left New York pitcher Ray Schifsky visibly frustrated.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Grange said.
