New York picked up a win at Knickerbocker Stadium, bumping off the Philadelphia Quakers, 3-0. Pitcher Vern Gould was a major reason the Knickerbockers emerged victorious. The winner was Gould. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Chuck Galloway. Danny Abril notched his 2nd save of the season.

The tide might have turned in the top of the fourth, had not Vern Gould made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Quakers trailing 3-0, he retired Ken Terry when the Philadelphia first baseman hit into a double play.
