Blockbusters Victorious at St. Louis, 4-2
|
Los Angeles starter Larry Mitchell pitched well against the St. Louis Explorers at Corps of Discovery Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. The Blockbusters now have a mark of 23-26.
Los Angeles used the clutch hitting of Ken Frederick to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blockbusters ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
After the game, Los Angeles manager John Trausch applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
