Drillers Sneak Past Pobladores, 6-5
The Houston Drillers beat the Los Angeles Pobladores, 6-5, at San Vicente Park. Wade Fields, who is on pace for 110 RBI this season, starred for Houston. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Jeff Ferguson snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-4 on the season. Whistlestop Meadows suffered the loss. After today's action, Houston sits at 22-25; Los Angeles slips to 24-24.

Fields had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 2-2 fastball from Whistlestop Meadows, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Drillers a 6-5 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Fields.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Fields.
