Nunez Holds Brooklyn Scoreless
|
Pedro Nunez was in a mood to talk following the Washington Eagles contest against the Brooklyn Bluebirds, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Bluebirds, 4-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Nunez said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Brooklyn on a 3-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 3 strikeouts.
This season, Nunez has compiled a 4-6 mark with a 4.90 ERA.
