In a low-scoring contest between the Baltimore Lords and the Boston Terriers, Dan Valenti was the X factor. The Baltimore right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. With the win, Baltimore goes to 3-2.

Baltimore catcher Mike Sheffield helped the Lords go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Sheffield hit a run-scoring single off Boston pitcher Nate Edwards.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Sheffield told the Baltimore Citizen. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
