The timely hitting of Earl Peters helped the San Diego Captains down the Denver Burros, 9-5. Peters was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Captains. Ron Byrd had a big 2-run double for the Captains in the bottom of the sixth inning.
