Traders Win Nail-Biter in 10
|
The Chicago Traders found a way to sneak past the St. Louis Explorers, 3-2, in 10 innings. Chicago pitcher Randy Birch, for one, had a standout performance. St. Louis's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Marcus White had a direct impact on the outcome. White contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Chicago up, 3-2.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said St. Louis manager Ray Fleetwood.
