Robinson scores 3 runs in Hawks Win
|
The Chicago Hawks stopped the Dallas Wranglers, 14-7, at Bluff Park. The Hawks got a big game from Alex Robinson, who went 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Byron Creasey came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The Hawks, at 20-30, inhabit last place in the American Baseball League Western Division.
In the top of the sixth, the Hawks grabbed the lead when Robinson hit his 17th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Frank Dunn made it 10-7, Chicago.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Robinson after the game.
