The Seattle Emeralds downed the Baltimore Lords, 8-3. The hitting star was third baseman Paul Parkyn. Parkyn was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Emeralds. The setback makes Baltimore 27-21.

John Klein had a big 2-run double for the Emeralds in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Seattle leading 4-3 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a changeup from John Fredrick, who finished 3rd in the ABL in wins with 18 in 1973, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Emeralds ahead, 6-3.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Klein.
