Bulls Suffer 6-2 Loss to Los Angeles
|
Los Angeles Blockbusters starter Ralph Weintraub kept the Kansas City Bulls hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Weintraub, now 4-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Tom Benson was called on to finish, recording his 13th save.
In the bottom of the fourth, Los Angeles second baseman Ken Frederick had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Frederick stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 6-2, Los Angeles. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.
