Bulls Score Late to Beat Captains, 7-6
|
Good production from left fielder Chris Taylor helped the Kansas City Bulls topple the San Diego Captains, 7-6. Taylor went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Bulls. Kansas City now sits at 22-28, while San Diego falls to 31-19.
In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 6-6, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Miller won it for Kansas City. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Miller hit a 1-0 fastball from Rick Wisniewski for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 7-6 win.
Taylor said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
