Dairymen Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
|
The Milwaukee Dairymen rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Danny Guerra to a win, beating the St. Louis Explorers, 3-2, at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium. The win elevated the Dairymen to 25-25.
Ruben Galvan was the walk-off hero for Milwaukee. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dairymen catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said St. Louis manager Ray Fleetwood.
