Bluebirds Deal Eagles 5-3 Loss
The Brooklyn Bluebirds picked up a win at Monument Field, taking down the Washington Eagles, 5-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Brooklyn was left-hander Dave Gaultney. He played a central role in the triumph. Brooklyn occupies third place in the National Baseball League Eastern Division at 28-23.

Brooklyn needed the clutch hitting of Oscar Gonzalez to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bluebirds on top, 4-3. For the game, Gonzalez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
