Drillers Win at Chicago, 4-2
|
The Houston Drillers wanted a good start from Francisco Castro -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-2 Houston win over the Chicago Hawks at Hyde Park Stadium. Rick McStay earned the save, his 2nd, for the Drillers. The win for the Drillers raised their record to 31-21.
Houston used a well-timed hit by Jackie Frost to capture the win. The center fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Drillers ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Frost said after the game.
