Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Corps of Discovery Stadium.

The Los Angeles Blockbusters clipped the St. Louis Explorers, 3-2, in 10 innings at Corps of Discovery Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Los Angeles pitcher and San José Guadalupe, Mexico, native Fernando Lopez. Billy Duprey locked down his 7th save.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Kermit McDaniel to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blockbusters on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Fernando gave us a very blue collar effort," said Los Angeles manager John Trausch.

Los Angeles is now 22-29.
