Seagulls Get One-Run Win at Chicago
Chicago second baseman David Obert was sensational. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. San Francisco beat the Hawks, 6-5. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 28-23.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Leo Sentner to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Seagulls on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Chicago manager Mike Flaherty. "But we decided not to take it."
