The Chicago Hawks dealt the Houston Drillers a 5-3 loss at Sam Houston Field. Don Bozza, who is tied for 9th in the ABL with a .844 OPS, went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. At 20-31, the Hawks are currently last in the American Baseball League Western Division.
With Chicago leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Bozza hit a fastball from Tom McAteer for a run-scoring double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Hawks ahead, 2-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Bozza.
