Don Hill was a vital contributor to the 10-1 Montreal victory over New York. The Habitants first baseman was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Lawrence Connor picked up the save for Montreal, his 1st of the year. With the victory, the Habitants upped their record to 32-20.
Les Fitzsimmons had a big 2-run home run for the Habitants in the top of the third inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from former first round draft pick Danilo Molina and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Habitants on top, 3-0.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Hill.
