The San Diego Captains knocked off the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 6-3, in National Baseball League action at Blockbuster Stadium. San Diego pitcher and Mitchellville, Maryland, native Ray Heath had an outstanding performance. San Diego goes to 6-0 with the win.
San Diego left fielder Randy Barnes delivered a 2-run home run in the top of the third. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and knocked in 2.
"Ray is tough when he's hitting his spots," said San Diego manager Joe Mack.
